Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information Tyzex processes, why it is used and the choices available to you when you use the Tyzex app and website.
Account and profile information
When you create an account, Tyzex stores identifiers and profile details needed to provide the service. These may include your verified email address, name, telephone details, country, language, preferred currency and timezone.
Tyzex also stores settings such as payday, safety buffer, appearance, analytics preference, notification preference and onboarding progress. A notification preference may be stored even where notifications are not yet available.
Connected bank information and Plaid
If you choose to connect a bank, Plaid provides Tyzex with read-only financial information that you authorise. Tyzex does not receive or store your online-banking password.
Tyzex may store institution and connection identifiers, account names and types, balances, currencies, transaction descriptions, amounts, dates, categories, pending status and other information needed to display and analyse your finances. Plaid access tokens stay on the secure backend and are not exposed in the app.
Goals, uploaded images and AI conversations
Savings goals, contribution history, target dates and progress are stored so they can be synchronised with your account. Goal and profile images that you upload are stored in user-specific cloud storage.
When you use Tyzex AI, conversation prompts, responses and related financial context may be stored to provide conversation history, safety controls and the guidance you request. Never include bank passwords, one-time codes or other secrets in an AI message.
How information is used
- Provide authentication, connected-bank views, transactions, goals, reports, insights and AI features.
- Calculate financial summaries and personalised informational guidance.
- Synchronise user settings across signed-in devices.
- Protect accounts, investigate failures and maintain security.
- Respond to support, privacy and account-deletion requests.
- Improve Tyzex where analytics is enabled, without intentionally including bank credentials or one-time authentication codes.
Service providers
Supabase provides authentication, database and storage services. Plaid provides bank connectivity. Hosting, monitoring and AI providers may process the limited information needed to deliver their part of the service. Each provider also operates under its own terms and privacy commitments.
Tyzex does not use a connected-bank relationship to move or hold your money.
Storage, security and retention
Tyzex uses access controls, authenticated backend requests and user-specific database rules to limit access to account data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Information is kept while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. Limited security, legal or operational records may be retained where required by law or legitimate security obligations.
Your choices and account deletion
You can change profile and preference information in the app and disconnect a bank connection. Disconnecting a bank is different from deleting your Tyzex account.
More → Security → Delete Account starts permanent deletion. Following fresh email verification, Tyzex removes your account data, connected-bank records, transactions, goals, contributions, AI conversations and user-owned uploaded images, then removes your Supabase sign-in account when the secure backend completes.
Contact
For privacy questions, data requests or help with deletion, email hello@tyzex.app. Never send a bank password, access token or one-time sign-in code.
